Robespierre doodle

Description

Meh, have spent the day sick and out of school. I have the most evil sore throat, fever, and headache ever. Thankfully I was able to get some sleep for most of the morning. A bit later I got up and put on the History Channel's The French Revolution DVD (which I bought 20% off yesterday. w00t!).

It was really good imho. It wasn't particularly biased either way, and I even ended up sympathizing with the revolutionary, Danton (whom I hate) and Marie-Antoinette. Robespierre was portrayed very well too. And whoever did the casting chose a great guy for his part. *grin* Sadly, Saint-Just wasn't in it at all save for a brief mention.

While it was playing, I sketched this little doodle of Robespierre. It was spawned by this quote by him:

"Virtue without which terror is murderous, terror without which virtue is powerless. Terror is nothing else than swift, severe, indomitable justice; it flows, then, from virtue.

(Drawn in mechanical pencil. Please ignore the pic's general suckosity.)
